Tactile indicators are specially designed raised domes, manufactured from 316 marine grade stainless steel. They are placed wherever there is a change in surface to alert the visually impaired.
Ideal for stairs, ramps, escalators, pedestrian crossings and footpaths as well as public access areas, for example bus stops, railway & ferry platforms.
They are placed in rows 600mm in depth starting 300mm from the change in surface.
Tactile indicators are available in a variety of colours and grips and can be supplied individually for custom application or ready-fastened to stainless steel sheets (6 rows of 12 tactile's equaling 72 tactile's per sheet), for easy application over large areas.
Tactile's generally have a flat base which is attached to the flooring surface using a strong epoxy style cement.
A stainless steel stud version is available. This has an additional 13mm stem which is inserted into pre-drilled holes in the flooring surface to offer additional security.
